Importing Products

In order to import your product data, please provide us with a spreadsheet with the following columns. For each column, we've outlined the data requirements. Those with an asterisk are required.

Supplier Name*

Plain text value (required).

Product Name*

Plain text value (required).

Duration Duration Unit

Can use one of the four approved duration units:

  • MINUTES

  • HOURS

  • DAYS

  • NIGHTS

Supplier Reference

A plain text field for you to add a short-hand reference for this product. Typically, this will be the code the supplier uses to reference the product.

Languages

A delimited list of languages offered for this product, usually in the case of a tour or experience. Ensure the data is formatted correctly when exporting your data to the CSV, for example, "English, German, Spanish". The languages used in this list should all use the English spelling.

Location

The address of the product. This will be used as the location of the card when used in an itinerary. For activities such a tours or excursions, this is typically the meeting point, so clients are able to see it on their trip map.

Age From

Accepts a number representing the minimum age allowed for this product.

Age To

Accepts a number representing the maximum age allowed for this product.

Max Group Size

Accepts a number representing the maximum number of people allowed for this product.

Proposal Description

A description of this supplier that only shows on the proposal. Please ensure that when supplying the csv file with your data, the file is appropriately escaped.

Trip Description

A description of this supplier that only shows to the client on an upcoming trip. This can be the same value as the proposal description if you like. Please ensure that when supplying the csv file with your data, the file is appropriately escaped.

Internal Notes

Any notes about the supplier that are useful to have in TripMapper. Please ensure that when supplying the csv file with your data, the file is appropriately escaped.

The field below are also replicated on the price. If you add values here, they will act as the default for all prices linked to this product. If you add values to the price directly, they will override the values set here.

Cost Adjustment

A floating point number. If Cost Adjustment Type is PERCENT the the number should be a percentage increase all costs should recieve. If the value is FIXED the number should be a fixed currency value all prices should be increased by.

Cost Adjustment Type

Accepts PERCENT or FIXED as the value

Profit Type

Accepts MARGIN or MARKUP and defines the calculation that is used for calculating your profit on top of the costs you addin the product pricing section.

Profit Percent

A percentage value that represents your markup or margin value for your product pricing.

Commission Type

Accepts DISCOUNT or REBATE and defines the way commission values are treated. Discount values discount the amount shown in the UI and used in calculations. Rebate doesn't affect the pricing in the calculations, and instead logs that value as earned comission for you to claim from your commission partenr at a later date.

Commission Percent

A percentage value that represents the commission you earn through this supplier.

Tax Type

Accepts NET or GROSS, and is the percentage rate of sales tax or VAT that is payable on the goods or services your supplier provides. If you plan to enter prices net of tax, please set the value here to NET. If you're adding gross costs, please set this ot GROSS.

Tax Percent

A percentage value used to define the rate of tax payable on your supplier's good or services.


Excluded Fields

Please note that, at this time, we are not supporting the following fields/features as part of our CSV import:

  • Gallery

  • Tags

  • Payment Terms

  • Notes

  • Files

  • Custom Data

We hope to add these in the near future.

If you would like to import gallery images, then please supply them in a folder separately with the name of the file matching the product name and with a numeric indicator for when you have multiple images per product. For example, Product Name 1.jpg
